If you are a skier, you will enjoy cross country skiing in the woods or crosscountry and downhill skiing at Mt. Bachelor, the Northwest's premier recreational mountain. It has a diverse array of slopes for all skills level skiers and is located just 18 miles west of Sunriver.

Sunriver enjoys 37 miles of paved pathways for bicycle and pedestrian use only. Rollerblading, skates, and skateboards are not allowed on Sunriver pathways or roads.

Boating, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rafting
Floating or paddling the Deschutes River can be relaxing, scenic, and good exercise. Boats, canoes, kayaks, rafts, and equipment are available at the Marina or other rental firms in the Mall. There are launching ramps at the Marina and upstream near Harper Bridge. Whitewater rafting trips can be arranged through various local outfitters.

Children's Playground
A children's playground with a variety of modern apparatus is located in Fort Rock Park, off East Cascade Road between circles 4 and 11.

Fishing
Anglers can find just about all the challenges they would like on the Deschutes, Fall (fly fishing only), or Spring Rivers. Good fishing is also available within an hour by car or hiking on the many lakes located near Sunriver. Licenses may be obtained in the Mall, Business Park, or at the Marina. Fishing seasons are variable, usually beginning late April at lower elevations and late May at the higher lakes.

Enjoy golf at one of Sunriver's two outstanding coursesFort Rock Park
Fort Rock Park, in the Tennis Hill area, provides recreational facilities for softball, volleyball, horseshoes, and includes a large, grassy field usable for soccer, baseball, football, and other activities. A shelter is available for picnic and barbeque events.

Golf
Two beautiful 18-hole courses are located within Sunriver. Lessons are available from professionals at both courses.

Horseback Riding
Sunriver Stables offers lessons, trail rides, and various riding programs year-round. Boarding is also available by the day, week, or month. The stables are located along the river on the road to the airport.

Ice Skating
During the winter season the miniature golf course in the Mall is transformed into an ice skater's paradise.

Lake Aspen
A wildlife habitat near Sunriver Nature Center, with observation points and paths where ducks, geese, otter, and other native wildlife may be observed.

Skiing/Snowriding
In Sunriver, weather permitting, cross-country skiing is delightful. Trails are groomed on the golf courses and there is excellent cross-country skiing in the nearby countryside and on the groomed trails at Mt. Bachelor. Some of the finest downhill skiing in the west is available just 30 minutes away at Mt. Bachelor. Equipment rentals and Sno Park permits are available at various locations in the Mall or Lodge.

Sunriver Nature Center
A non-profit scientific and educational organization right in Sunriver! Includes interpretive exhibits, educational programs, a botanical garden, nature trail, observatory, two bald eagles, various owls, raptors, and other creepy-crawly critters for you to see. Swimming
Two outdoor swimming pools are available to owners and guests. The South pool is located in the Sunriver Lodge complex and features a 50-foot water slide popular with young swimmers. The North pool is situated adjacent to the Woodlands golf course golf shop building. Lessons and classes are available.

Tennis
There are 26 tennis courts available at a number of locations throughout Sunriver. Owners and their guests playing with them may play free on presentation of owner access cards. Instruction is available and various activities are scheduled throughout the summer. Court reservations are necessary during the summer months.
